About The Show
Debuting on 26 Nov, S-POP HURRAY! is the largest scale music festival ever produced by MediaCorp. This mega production will kick off with a special 2-hour concert and blaze on with a series of 16 one-hour shows featuring big names from the local and regional music industry. The festival will culminate into a grand finale that will be held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on 23 Mar 2008, where Asia's biggest popstars will grace the event as we honor some of Singapore's most celebrated songs and successful singers/musicians.

Have a talent for song-writing? It’s now your chance to shine!
Be a part of Channel U’s song-writing competition S-POP HURRAY! Songwriting Competition where you get to share your passion for song composition with other likeminded composers!
Submission of demos will be done solely online. Shortlisted songs will stand the chance to be packaged into music videos to be broadcast islandwide. And if this isn’t exciting enough, brace yourself for this: popular singers might even be invited to put their voices to these selected songs!
How To Participate?
Step 1 :
Submit your Demo online.
Step 2 :
Wait for producers to contact you with the good news!
Contest Rules
For each song composition, only a maximum of 4 persons (regardless of composers or lyricists) is allowed.
Lyrics are to be written in Chinese.
Competition is open to Singaporeans, PR or official holders of student pass / work permit / employment pass.
All submissions (music and lyrics) must be unencumbered and cleared of all rights.
Closing date for submission is on 30 Sep 2007.
Song submissions must be in either wma, mp3, aiff or wav formats.
Song submissions must be accompanied by lyrics.
During preliminary rounds, songs will be judged by an expert panel.
Judges’ decision will be final and no correspondence will be entertained.
A 15-second preview of the songs will be made available on the Internet.
Selected Quarter Finalists will be required to sign an agreement with MediaCorp Studios and will be required to appear on-air when necessary.
The finals will be held on Mar 23, 2008.
